GENERAL RELATIVITY AND QUANTUM PHYSICS
General Relativity: (also known as the general theory of relativity) the geometric theory of gravitation published by Albert Einstein in 1915 and the current description of gravitation in modern physics.
Quantum Physics: (also known as quantum mechanics, or quantum theory) is a fundamental branch of physics which deals with physical phenomena at nanoscopic scales, where the action is on the order of the Planck constant.
What I Learned
From this section of physics I learned about many concepts such as time stretching, black holes, wormholes multiple dimensions, subatomic particles, etc; but my favorite part about this unit was watching Interstellar. Watching Interstellar was my favorite because I didn't fully understand what certain things were or how they actually worked, but once I watched the movie and saw how every piece connected, it was clear to me what we had learned about. Then after watching the entire movie, we went back and reviewe what we aw and how it related to what we were learning so it helped me gain a better understanding for these concepts.

This is the black hole from the movie Interstellar which was created by computers to give a very good visual on screen. But this black hole was constructed according to scientific formulas that calculated how a real black hole could possibly look. This movie has helped make scientific breakthroughs and has helped scientists discover new things they wouldn't have discovered before.
Reflection
I'm proud of myself because for this unit, I spent a lot of time really being engaged in the topic. Sometimes when we are learning about a topic in class that is difficult for me to understand, I find myself dazing off and later being lost since I wasn't paying attention. This unit was different because I was quickly drawn in from the launch of the unit. I would make sure to always be present in class discussions to make sure I got all of my questions answered so I would be catching all of the information. I really enoyed learning about the planets and our galaxy because there are so many things we still haven't even discovered yet.
